The Growth of the CFP

By 1995, Canada's political leadership had been embroilled in scandals and party bickering for years. We were drifting towards American style politics with opponent bashing and media manipulation. Voters either voted as their parents voted or voted against the party leader.

Candidate campaigns became irrelevant and parliaments became filled with party "yes-men and yes women". Democracy was replaced by partisan party alliances with our growing civil services. The private sector, (general public), was no longer driving or directing Canada.

It was this separation of the people from politics and government that led to the CFP founder's conviction that Canada needed a new political entity for the next century.

The next ten years required a great deal of research and analyses to identify our opportunities and their obstacles. By 2005 a path and viable vision began to emerge.

Creating and establishing a new national governing party in Canada will likely take quite a few years.

This first phase involves establishing our values, principles and policies while spreading the awareness of the CFP to all corners of our great nation. To achieve this, the CFP will need your on-going mental support, ideas and referral to friends and acquaintances. (2010 -2015)

The second phase involves signing up members, registering with Elections Canada, forming riding associations and conducting a national convention, (2016-2020).

As an ordinary Canadian you can help the CFP bring integrity, vision and fairness to the next generation of Canadians by becoming involved in the present phase one.

• Free Enterprise - the operation of free markets within Canada, plus government protections to limit unfair oligopolistic and monopolistic practices.
• Democratic - majority rule and the public's right to vote for their political representatives and to join political parties that elect representatives from their membership.
• Socialism - the belief that some government administered social programmes and income equalization programmes may be necessary to maintain equal opportunities, education, health care, infrastructure, etc. and to assist the less advantaged members of society and to ensure all citizens share the wealth from the public oversight and stewardship of Canadian natural resources.
